Experience

Lorraine qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and is accredited as a Senior Litigator with APIL (the Association of Personal Injury Solicitors).

She has worked in many different parts of the country during her career - Yeovil, Portsmouth, Stoke-on-Trent – but since 1997 has been living and working in Derbyshire.

Since qualifying, she has devoted her career to helping the innocent victims of accidents and is passionate about securing the best outcomes for her clients in a professional and speedy manner. She has successfully settled over 3,500 personal injury cases and has a wealth of experience in dealing with serious road traffic accidents, accidents at work, and accidents in public places.

Most of her clients are based in Derbyshire and the surrounding counties but she can take on cases outside her immediate area.

She is approachable and clients feel safe in her hands.

Notable settlements include:

• £525,000 for a driver who collided with a turning tractor
• £375,000 for an employee injured in a work vehicle

She offers an initial free consultation either face to face (at your home, a convenient location or our London office), on the phone or virtually (WhatsApp, Teams, Zoom) and can discuss all aspects of the claim including ways to fund it (paying privately, Legal Expenses Insurance, Conditional Fee Agreements ("no win, no fee" agreements)).

But don’t take our word for it:

"Lorraine Finney is thorough, conscientious and fearless in advancing her client’s interests and unafraid of tackling difficult issues. "

John Coughlan, QC, No5 Chambers, Birmingham

"Lorraine has a real understanding of what it takes to make a difference both to the value of a case and to a client's experience of dealing with serious injury. As a result her case planning is good, her drafting (especially of witness statements) is fantastic, and her manner with clients always exemplary."

Matthew Brunning, Barrister, Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence

"Lorraine is one of the first people I would think to suggest contacting where there is a complex set of circumstances, and the injured person, or their family, need to be understood and listened to. Lorraine will do her best for each and every client."

Dr Darren Conway PhD, Head of Clinical Negligence Department
